Privacy
In short
- No cookies, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no social plugins. Fonts are served from our own server.
- If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address to tell you about the launch of LAMA, and for nothing else.
- If you answer our optional question, we also keep your child’s age group, or that you are expecting.
- You can unsubscribe at any time, and we delete your address.

When you visit this website
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes the technical data your browser sends with every request (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) to deliver the page and to protect it against abuse. We don’t store your IP address. Cloudflare keeps short-lived operational logs for security and troubleshooting. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
When you join the waitlist
We store:
- your email address;
- your consent: the exact sentence you agreed to, and the time;
- the country you signed up from, as Cloudflare derives it from your IP address at that moment (the IP address itself is not stored);
- if you answer it, how old your child is, or that you are expecting.
We use this only to email you about the launch of LAMA, at the right time for your family, and to invite you to our founding-families program. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in any of our emails or by writing to hello@lamaband.com. Withdrawal does not affect what happened before it.
To keep the list free of mistyped and throwaway addresses, we check when you sign up that the address is spelled correctly, that its domain can receive email (by looking up its mail server in the public DNS, through Cloudflare’s resolver) and that it is not a known one-time address. We don’t send anything to your address to do this.
The optional question
Answering is entirely voluntary, and you can join the waitlist without it. If you tell us you are expecting, that says something about your or your partner’s pregnancy, which the law treats as health information. By choosing that answer you agree that we use it for this one purpose: timing our emails. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Who processes your data for us
Cloudflare, Inc., San Francisco, USA: hosting, the waitlist database and the DNS lookups. The database is stored in the EU (Cloudflare’s EU jurisdiction). Cloudflare acts on our instructions under a data processing agreement. Where data may be accessed from the USA, the transfer is based on the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Before we send our first email, we will name the email service we use here. We don’t sell or rent your data, and we don’t share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent. When you unsubscribe, we delete your address and your answer. When LAMA launches, we will tell everyone on the list how we use it from then on.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, a copy of it, its correction or deletion, to restrict or object to its processing, and you can withdraw your consent. Write to hello@lamaband.com. We answer within one month.
You can also complain to a supervisory authority: in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in the EU the authority of the country where you live or work.

We will update this notice when LAMA launches and when anything here changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
